Intimate aesthetic procedures for men

Penile filler

Filler injections can be used to increase the girth of the penile shaft. Small injections around the head of the penis (glans penis) are also possible. These injections can also result in a discrete increase in the length of the penis; however, this is not the primary objective of the procedure. After the age of 30, the penis begins to shrink continuously over the years, both in terms of length and circumference.

At the start of the procedure, nerve block anaesthesia is administered in the form of two lidocaine injections to ensure that the penis is fully numb; however, a numbing cream left on the penis for 15 minutes is usually sufficient.

Next, a fine cannula is used to gently inject filler under the fascia (one of the layers of connective tissue under the skin of the penis). The result is immediately visible; however, the filler will need some time to settle. After receiving the injection, patients should abstain from sex for one week. We recommend using a moderate amount of filler (5 to 6 ml) for the first injection in order to give yourself time to adapt to the new physical sensation. Injecting larger amounts of filler can stretch the skin too quickly and impede the circulation of the blood vessels. Filler is broken down by the body’s enzymes and the injections last for 9 to 15 months. Injecting a volume of 10 ml into the penis shaft increases its circumference by an average of 1 cm. This does not sound like much, but in reality, it is a noticeable difference. We take a gradual approach, meaning there is no need for you to decide up front how much filler you would like. For injections on the head of the penis (glans penis), as little as 1 to 2 ml is already enough to see a satisfying result.

Risks of the procedure include bruising and sensitivity for a few days. Rare but serious complications can include unintentional injection of filler into the erectile tissue. This tissue is made up of complex muscular structures that need to be supplied with blood. A filler injection into the erectile tissue can impede perfusion, which can cause serious damage to the tissue depending on the quantity of filler.

The cost of the procedure is calculated individually based on the amount of filler used. Please be aware that hyaluronic acid is broken down after about a year by hyaluronidase – a naturally occurring enzyme in the body – which means that further procedures will be required to maintain the effect.

Glans penis  – “Mushroom”

Filler injections can be used to increase the sensitivity of the glans penis, allowing for more intense tactile sensations  At the same time, this procedure slightly emphasizes the shape of the glans; however, the difference is minimal unless you choose to inject a larger amount of filler.  Although the procedure increases sensitivity, it also delays ejaculation, meaning it can offer benefits for men suffering from premature ejaculation (ejaculatio praecox). This type of filler injection is also sometimes referred to as the “mushroom”.

First, a local anaesthetic in the form of a lidocaine cream is applied for 20 minutes. This anaesthesia is completely sufficient for this injection. The procedure itself takes 10 minutes. A reasonable quantity of filler should be used in order to achieve results that are aesthetically pleasing and functional, Generally, this quantity is 2 ml. After receiving the injection, patients should abstain from sex for one week. Filler is broken down by the body’s enzymes and the injections last for 9 to 15 months.

This tissue is made up of complex muscular structures that need to be supplied with blood. A filler injection into the erectile tissue can impede perfusion, which can cause serious damage to the tissue depending on the quantity of filler. For this reason, injections should always be performed by an experienced physician.

The cost of the procedure is determined individually based on the amount of filler required; however, two 1 ml injections are usually sufficient. FAQ

Do I need time off after the treatment?2023-01-09T12:09:55+01:00

No. The injection of PRP is minimally painful, you should only refrain from sports and sexual activities on the day of treatment. However, you can continue your everyday life without any problems.

Does PRP lead to an increase in the size of the penis?2023-01-09T12:03:37+01:00

PRP promotes blood flow and the regeneration of blood vessels in the penis. An increase in length is possible, but should be slight. For a significant increase in length, a surgical intervention is necessary. For penile thickening, i.e. increase in girth, a filler injection is the better choice.

I have a cold, can I still come for treatment?2023-01-09T12:25:37+01:00

If you have mild cold symptoms without fever, we can still perform treatment. However, if you have a fever or are more seriously ill, we should postpone the treatment for your safety.

I have burning when urinating or purulent discharge from the urethra2023-01-09T12:08:32+01:00

In this case, you should postpone the treatment. You are probably suffering from a urinary tract infection or urethritis. Make an appointment with your family doctor right away and postpone the treatment with PRP.

I have inflamed or itchy skin in the area to be treated2023-01-09T12:34:34+01:00

In this case, you should postpone the treatment. Infections, whether bacterial or viral, should heal completely first. Eczema can be aggravated by irritation with peeling (acid). Give the skin another 2 – 3 weeks to recover before making another appointment.

What are the costs of treating ED?2023-01-20T14:47:27+01:00

The initial consultation and any laboratory analyses are covered by the basic insurance. The treatment itself, however, is at the patient’s expense, the total cost being around CHF 4300.

What do I need to have ready for counselling/treatment?2023-01-09T12:25:03+01:00

Please have your medication list ready and, if available, a list of known diagnoses or chronic diseases.

What should I do or refrain from doing before or after treatment with PRP?2023-01-09T12:28:58+01:00
  • Avoid alcohol 24 hours before and after the treatment. This will reduce the risk of bruising.
  • Avoid intense exercise for the first 24 hours after treatment.
  • Let the treated facial area rest and do not touch it too often to avoid infections.
What should I do or refrain from doing before or after treatment with shock waves (ESWT) or PRP?2023-01-23T15:26:38+01:00

No special precautions are necessary before and after shock wave therapy. After the injection of PRP into the corpora cavernosa, you should avoid sporting or sexual activities on the same day. Dry well after showering. From the following day, all activities are allowed as usual.

Why does erectile dysfunction need medical clarification?2023-01-09T12:02:45+01:00

Erectile dysfunction is usually a vascular disease. However, other causes can also trigger erectile dysfunction (ED). These are discussed in the consultation, e.g. prostate surgery, spinal trauma, hormone imbalances. ED is often associated with coronary heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus. That is why the consultation also includes an examination and a blood sample. Finally, the extent of ED must be determined using the IIEF (International Index of Erectile Dysfunction) to give an approximate prognosis of possible success. Treatment with shock waves and/or PRP should only be used in patients with a vascular cause. Other erectile aids are an alternative, e.g. PDE-5 inhibitors such as Viagra®, Levitra® or Cialis®, which are considered the first choice for the treatment of ED. The second option is Alprostadil®, which is contained in the products Caverject® or MUSE®. In the consultation, we discuss which treatment is right for you.
